Housing Authorities

The goal of increasing families’ access to opportunity rich neighborhoods is shared by the Fair Housing Council and the Milwaukee County Housing Authority.

The Milwaukee County Housing Authority (MCHA) - MCHA’s HCV program is recruiting eligible HCV families for enrollment in Opportunity MKE. MCHA is responsible for administering over 1,900 vouchers.

The Opportunity Neighborhood Network

Supporting families through every stage of a move is central to the work of Opportunity MKE. The Opportunity Neighborhood Network (ONN) is a large part of that support. We understand that moving to new neighborhoods can be daunting. ONN members are volunteers who serve families after they move, to ensure that families have a support network as they learn to navigate their new surroundings. Currently, the ONN has representation from Tosa Together, People Advocating for Greendale Equality (PAGE), SOPHIA, Ozaukee Community Roundtable, and Bay Bridge.
