Since its inception in 1977, the Metropolitan Milwaukee Fair Housing Council (MMFHC) has assumed a prominent leadership role in the struggle for equal opportunity in housing. MMFHC’s greatest asset in its fight for equal housing opportunity has been, and continues to be, the commitment and dedication of community volunteers and members. Without their commitment, the struggle for fair housing could not exist. After all, if we have learned anything in the last quarter of a century it is that the actual agents of change can only come from the efforts of people, organizations and communities.

By becoming an MMFHC member, you can help sustain our fair housing efforts throughout your local communities and statewide.

With your help, not only will we keep the doors to equal access open, we will open those doors even wider.

Member Activities

Members may make many contributions to MMFHC’s
work, including:

	Assisting in the investigation of possible violations of fair housing law
	Making phone calls to inform other members of fair housing issues and events
	Speaking on behalf of MMFHC before other organizations with which you are affiliated
	Educating elected and public officials on local, state and national levels
	Participating on MMFHC committees such as Advisory Committees, the Outreach and Education Committee and the Membership Committee
	Specialized contributions are also welcome
	We will contact you with more information about volunteer opportunities upon receipt of your completed membership application.

	At no extra cost, by becoming a member of MMFHC, you can also support fair housing nationally by becoming a member of the National Fair Housing Alliance, a national consortium of private fair housing organizations

By becoming an MMFHC member, your dues will specifically help sustain fair housing efforts in your local community and throughout Wisconsin.
